Welcome to the site..

Well,, alot of Vega's got V8's engines..

A swap would be a sizeable amount of work, not just a drop in and even more so for EFI/EEC power plant conversion over carbed. Usually a donor car is a huge help over trying to locate and buy all the 'special' parts.. Then there's suspention, driveline, cooling, exhaust etc..

Post a pic of your Pinto,, we had a few,, great cars for their time.. Does the Mustang power plant come with the rest of the car?

back in the mid 80s my friend had a pinto with a 289 carbed motor and the mustang rear end great combo . I had a 1979 pace car mustang with a SVT pinto motor ,turbo and a carb . it was good and could be trusted , had Recaro seats and the ponies on the doors .
