blown 300 6 1978 f250

Default blown 300 6 1978 f250

I have a1978 F250 it had 300 6 cylinder in it but after 309000 miles it has blown up. I am buying 77 302 what would I have to change if anything my truck is a 4 speed the 302 is out of a automatic

rebuild the 300 6 cylinder that you have. i believe there are also some ford 6,s that are 302 c.i.

keep the I6 one of the best engines ever made! throw a bigger cam in it and four barrel and go to town! get crazy and throw a turbo on it and let me know how it works i really want to do this!

sorry guys i bought a 302 v8 and have been working on it for a while i have replaced pretty much everything. The straight 6 was a great engine but hard 2 find it broke the cam and 2 rods it only had 300900 miles on it.ive bought headers for the 302 and she is a mean sob now thanks! for the advice
