Default Crown Vic to Cobra

Hello fellow Ford fans. I have a mission to create a bad *** Crown Vic. I am wanting to take a 1998-2004 Crown Vic and swap the motor for something along the lines of a Cobra, or Lightning, or crate motor from Summit Racing. I also want to change out the 4 speed auto for a 5 speed manual transmission. I suppose a Mustang tranny would work? I am wanting to know if anyone here has done anything like this before and what kind of trouble am I looking at? Any suggestions on motor/transmission choices? Anyone know of a good shop in the South East that could assist me with this. (i.e. do it for me, as I have no patients!) Thank you if you can help in any way.

a v-10 would fit with some creative modifications…. a coyote 5.0 would be a good easy swap… a 6 speed transmission would give you more gearing options...

I am by no means an expert with this newer computerised stuff but your biggest issues are going to be wiring the ECU to run the engine into the rest of the electrical harness and add and delete the appropriate sensors and seleniods. As you say you have no patience the other thing you will need is deep pockets because it will cost you alot more to have someone else do it.
But all the best of luck.
