Default So about that fire...

Heya guys, and thanks again for the help so far. I got a Truck with an old 429 from a '68 Tbird in it, and it still runnin points in the distributor. When i had my Maverick (72), one of the first things my dad helped me with was getting the ignition over to a petronix and he put a new coil on it that had a lot more power. I like to do that again with this truck, as it improved the preformance a ton! The question i have for you is - what system is best?(for the buck?) how big a coil can i put on the engine without frying it?( like out've a bulldozer? ) does that conversion kit from napa work just fine?( for $85! ) or should i go look in a junkyard?
Does bigger fire really mean that much more power from a cleaner burn?

Just trying to get some more "bang" outta this ol' girl, hehehe.
Any advice would be great, Thanks!
