Default 62 fairlane tranny conversion

I have a 62 fairlane 221 v8 3spd with the column shift and I'd like to change it to floor shift. does anyone know if the store kits actually work, or which is the best one?

The store kits will work, but usually don't include half the stuff you need. You want the shifter with a housing around it, a floor seal, the shift arms and a template of how and where to cut the hole. Maybe Hurst shifters has a kit that's ready-to-go.
