I've got this 63 Falcon/futura cross year id like to start working on. using the data plate on the door I've found it has a inline 170 ohv engine. my main trouble is trying to figure out what transmission I've got in it. through a bit of research I've come to the conclusion it may be a borg warner T-10 but cannot find anything to confirm this. when I decode the information on the plate all I get is 4 speed manual transmission. Id just like to know what all I have before I start tearing into the car too much. any and all help would be much appreciated.

 

I had a 63 Sprint also. If I remember correctly only the Sprint came with the 4 speed t-10 and the 260 motor.All others were 3 speed or automatic.Is it a sprint? Sprint had a fast back roof or convert.. Also had bigger brakes. Also bucket seats 5 lug wheels.And a Tach on center of Dashboard.If I overwound the motor it use to snap a wire inside the generator,Made repairs onside of road many times.

Boy do I miss that car, Had lots of fun with it
