Fairlane/Falcon/Galaxie/Gran TorinoThere 1960s classics have not been forgetten, whether it is on the dragstrip or at any car show, they are still all well represented.
I have a 1972 Grand Torino Sport with the 351 C Cobra Jet, Q I bought it from a car collector that was trying to downside. I drove it around in high school and then parked it when I went to college with the intent on getting it out and fully restoring it to it's glory at some point.
I'm getting to the point where financially I'll be able to do so but I curious where I can find the original build specs, does anyone know how I can get that?
Also would it be smarter to do a full restore to original, or do a retromod and update it with the original engine and trans?
By all means, keep it as original as possible. That will make it more valuable and desirable as a collectable.
Nice car. That would make a nice restoration project. I had a Torino looong ago. It was in very nice shape. Two door but not a Sport and just a Windsor engine.
Sorry I can't help much on build specs.I even got rid of my shop manuals for it just last year.
There's not much difference between a 351(C) and a 400. I remember my father having a 74 Torino "woody" wagon having a 400CID. I never could figure out why he never allowed us in the rear rumble seat, I know why now.
