Default Motorcraft 2100 vs. 2150

I have a '73 Gran Torino Sport with a 351C. It has a 2100 D3ZF FA Motorcraft carb, which needs replaced. This carb seems very specific to this car, I'm wondering if I can replace it with a 2100 off a Mustang. This particular carb is much higher priced than one that fits a Mustang with the same engine. Any help here will be appreciated.
