Default Oil plug leak

Hello and good morning all, I am looking for advice for how to stop my oil leak from my drain plug. I replaced the plug last weekend and over the course of a week roughly 1/2 quart leaks out. Please help!

Sure it's not a leak migrating to the plug are?

What plug gasket/seal material is on the new plug?
Plugs with copper or aluminum gaskets, or even Aluminum Rubber clad gaskets are more sensitive to being threaded in straight. Nylon, generally the thicker ones are better for sealing if the pan surface is rough, or the plug tightens a bit off plum. Dense paper/fiber gaskets, ok, but nylon is a better choice for problematic areas.
