Hello everyone!

I am new to cars, recently bought my first. 1970 Ford Galaxie 500.

Yesterday while driving it, the hood became unlatched and lifted up, then the wind caught it and bent it backward. It doesn't quite fit anymore and doesn't shut right now, so I think I would be better off finding a new hood.

Apparently it is very difficult to find hoods in decent condition for a 70 Galaxie. (If anyone has one, let me know!)

While browsing marketplace, I came across someone selling a 1970 Ford Torino hood, in almost new condition. So my question is, would that hood be compatible with a 70 Galaxie? Has anyone tried swapping them?

Whoever owned my car in the past was making an effort to convert the car into a Torino. The paint job was modified to be similar to a Torino, and the Galaxie emblems have been removed from the exterior. So I figure I might as well commit to it and put the Torino hood on it if possible.

Any insight into this would be appreciated!

So fix your hood
remove it from the car, then just start easy to bend the corners back flat, wont be perfect but you can take a hammer and dolly and
smooth it out.
I'm only going from the photo's you posted.
