Default Transmission Storage

Has anyone had a transmission rebuilt and then put it in storage? If so, what steps did you take to let it sit up for a year.
Thanks

If the converter is in it, I’d remove it and block off the converter hub/seal/shaft areas. No need to let the converter hang on the nose. Make sure all the line connections and the tail shaft area sealed as well. Rebuild shops many times have racked units that sit for some time before a sale and install, some either the converter is installed/supported or is sold with the unit separated. A year wouldn’t be a big issue. On reman, the unit should have been well lubed during assembly. Best stored indoors, garage, shed. No need to subject it to moisture or the elements, even covered etc.
