1992 bronco 4x4 shifting and power problems
hello,i have the 1992 ford bronco 4x4 w/5.8L 351 engine w/auto overdrive..the problem is that it seems to run great with all kinds of power, but it shifts through all the gears including overdrive by about 45 mph and once it hits overdrive it has no power..i mean it will pick up and go but you have to wait on it..my question is that normal,or should there be a overdrive push button somewhere..if there is i've yet to find it..i see the 4x4 buttons but no overdrive button..my shifter is on the column and the end **** is gone..but there is no wire hanging out as if there was a button there..it also seems to idle real low almost to the point it seems it might die out but never does...i've already put new plugs, wires, cap, and rotor button...i can hear the fuel injectors clicking and can feel the fuel rail vibrate pretty good but i dont know..if anyone can tell me if there is a push button for the overdrive let me know...thx in advance

I don't think that year had a push button overdrive. On the dash where you can see what gear you are in you'll probably see park, reverse, neutral, overdrive (looks like a D inside a circle), drive, and D1. You can manually shift out of overdrive into drive, rather than push a button.
My 1990 F-150 does the same thing, although it is a 5.0 instead of a 5.8. By 35-45mphit isalready in overdrive, and it doesn't have much power in low speeds/rpm'sbecause of the gear ratio.
