Default overdrive problems

Overdrive flashes off, reverse has no power, does not throw a code. Suggestions?

The blinking of the OD light is telling us something is going on with the trans.
Usually it will set a code for anytime that light decides to start blinking.
If little or no reverse, check all conditions that activate reverse.

Hey Hanky, Thanks for the reply. The trouble is it is not throwing a code. I have replaced the switch on the gear shift and still nothing. Without a code, I do not know where to start.

The controlling parts don't seem to be getting the message,, so I would start with checking the switch at the trans that indexes what gear position you are choosing..
