My 96 contour blower motor will only run at low speed.It quit working while driving and gave off a burnt smell.I took the motor out and it runs on low.Nothing happens when i turn the blower switch.I think it might be the switch,any ideas?

 

when you took the motor out how did you test? i want to help but im not sure how you tested the motor, you got a burnt smell... that would be from a short that should pop a fuse b4 you can smell it. it could be the switch it could be the motor it could be other things also.. if you can post more info... the more info the better others can help

 

I took the switch out and the switch was melted.I got a new switch and a new pigtail connector it was also melted.Put it in and everything is working.Thanks.
