Heater Blower
I have a 95 Ford Contour 2.5L V6 with DOHC. The heater blower stoped working about a week ago. I have checked all fuses and relays and replaced the blower motor and the fan speed switch AND the heater blower motor control resistor AND the control switch and the motor still doesn't work.... I get 1.8 volts going to the motor after the resistor and 0.0 when the control switch is off so i know my switch is working. I have ran out of ideas, any help would be appreciated.
This is what I would try.
Unplug the blower motor from its incoming wiring.
One wire should be the supply to the motor and if there is another wire it should be the ground. Run a hot wire to one of the motor leads (usually orange) and ground (usually black) the other. Does the motor run at full speed ? Ford does some things differently from other manufacturers so you have to take one step at a time.

Hello again. I just now tried what you said and the fan is fine... I have it setup now with a toggle switch on the hot wire so it either off or on full. I would still prefer that it worked the way it's supposed to.
My Contour's blower motor quit too. I had replaced the blower motor last month so I figured that wasn't the problem. I replaced the blower motor resistor. This didn't help. I checked the fuse box in the car's cabin and the fuse was okay. It ended up being the relay in the fuse box. Replacing the relay solved my problem. The relay and the resistor were both very easy to replace. The relay was about $9.00 and the resistor about $20.00.
