Default 2003 crown vic headlights turn off

My 2003 crown victoria headlights turn off at night, in auto and and hard on, they cannot be turned back on, but will turn on by them selselves. Ford has replaced the on off switch and the multi-function switch. Anybody got any ideas. HELP.

I recently had this problem fixed. It is your LCM(lighting control module) located under the dash above your right foot. You can hear it click when you lights turn on/off. The dealer wants $562.00 to replace and $200.00 removal & reinstall. Very easy to remove yourself. Two or three scews and three harnesses. It can be rebuilt, I had mine rebuilt for a $100.

I am having the same problem. Diagnosed as the multi function switch. When I shake the switch, the lights come back on.

Should be replacing the switch tomorrow.
