check engine light because of broken mirror?
Hey there,
I'm just about to buy a cheap reliable car, so I found the Crown Vic..
Just had a test drive with a 2003 model, but the check engine light was on (and the ABS light) and when I asked the guy said that the light was on since somebody crashed his mirror (the mirror glass has a few cracks, I wouldn't mind them)...
His explanation for this was, that the mirror is heated.
Well shall I believe this? What should the mirror have to do with the check engine light?!? Or am I wrong here?
Besides that the vehicle drove good, fluids were alright and it sounded normal (maybe a little too loud when accelerating, but probably not a stock exhaust)
I need the car only for one year, but I'd like to have no problem in that time and maybe sell the car after the year and get a little money back.
greetings, thanks for a short heads up.
