Default Disengaged DRL's all the sudden working?

I'm having a problem with my 2002 cvpi. when I bought it, it seemed like the DRL were disabled, and I did like this option to turn all lights out, I just ran it with lights "on" for regular driving but was able to turn them to "off" instead of "drl". All the sudden today, when in the "off" position, the lights are on, but in DRL mode. I want to know how to get them to go back to "off" instead of daytime runners?

thanks guys!

That is true, however, the parking brake warning light also comes on when you do the one click trick. And,,,,,,,,,,,,,, you need to make sure the parking brakes aren't dragging with the one click down of the parking brake.
