Default performance

Hi all. I am hoping that someone out there can tell me where i can find info on how to increase performance on my 1994 crown vic w/ a 4.6 liter engine. I really love the car and have lots of time to work on it i just don't know what's available for this year of engine. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Default RE: performance

One of the easiest & least expensive mods is to change to dual exhausts. The 4.6 engine in these vics likes to breathe easier to run better. I've owned a '93, & a '99 CV & now own a '04 CV Sport. I put duals on my '99 & saw a marked improvement in performance & gas milage. I drove it from NJ to Mo 4 years ago when I moved out here & averaged 28 mpg at 70 mph speeds. I could'nt run glass packs in NJ so when I got to Mo that's the first change I made. My '04 Sport came with factory duals so I put glass packs on it the day I bought it. I went to a K&N FIPK intake system a few months ago. It's basically a cold air intake. The stock air box has about a 1" diameter intake hole where the K&N has a 3" intake hole & no abrupt bends in the pipe so the air flow is almpst straight. Runs like a entirely different car. 25 more hp that can be felt on acceleration & top end. Hope this has been some help. It worked for me.
