Default Starter Question

My 97 Crown Victoria P-71 had its starter die. Being an intrepid individual, I shoved it in the garage, laid on the cold cement floor and discovered that the starter is well hidden.

Anyone know how that vicous little starter comes out of that cramped space? Kind of reminds me of the 2lbs of crap in a 1lb bag theory.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Mike

Default RE: Starter Question

I changed mine not long ago...........the top bolt use many extensions and come in over the crossmember from the radiator and reach the bolt 10MM. The side bolt? , remove the solonoid and it's easy to get at. The bottom, use and open box wrench.

See my thread about it just below this one about start problem.

Hope this helps.
