Default 1970’s butterfly vent windows f-series and e-series

Hello I’m new here and tried searching. I’m looking for a butterfly vent window for a 1976 e-250 and was wondering if a 1970’s f-series window would fit.

I haven’t done one before but I thought the whole assembly had to be changed.
The girlfriend went to a local glass place here and they told her the glass was thicker back then and hard to get. I thought it sounded weird But that’s second hand information, so I was just thinking replacing the assembly.

You might try , Vintage Parts Inc.

I don't know how far back their parts go.

Something to consider, an auto glass place might be able to use heavier cushioning , between the available glass and the frame. As long as it is safety glass.
