1978 E150 Auxilliary fuel tank questions
I am trying to install an auxiliary fuel tank in my 78 E150 chateau. It had a tank at one point, but it must have been removed by a previous owner. I am having trouble finding info for all the parts I may need. So far I have the tank, the tank straps, the filler hose and the sending unit. I am just not sure what else I may need. Do I need a separate fuel pump for this tank or any other parts I may have overlooked? I appreciate any help y'all can give me.
You may not be able to locate the parts you would need.
There is a good chance the previous owner realized this also and just eliminated the pieces he couldn't find.
A good shop may be able to come up with a possible alternative, but nobody is going to want the responsibility if something goes wrong.
Any way to carry a few extra gallons in a rack mounted externally?
