Default 1992/3 on Econoline interior width question

Hello
If I buy a late 1990s Econoline (standard length, cargo van, hinged side doors) and put a shelf across the van, but with the shelf inside the "window" aperture so touching the exterior skin of the van, how long would this shelf be?
My question relates to a cargo van without windows, but by "window" aperture I mean where the windows would be if it had them although it doesn't.
Also is it the same at the front of the aperture as the back (so do the walls taper as you move backwards through the van)?
Also is the width the same in the rear most aperture as it is in the middle of the van?
My "shelf" would sit in the bottom of the aperture, so the fact that the sides slope in as you go up in height is not a problem.
I can't measure this dimension myself as I'm in the UK and these vans are rare here.
I have edited an online picture to illustrate what I mean.

If someone could measure reasonably accurately (say within 1/4") then it would be much appreciated.

E350 width

Thanks, DNJ
