1996 ford econoline cold start
Hi, nice to see she's still starting at minus 14 weather. But I'm wondering what that sound really is.. Loud whine or something. Check out video and let me know. Thanks

I've heard that before..
The noise sounded like power steering pump whine as the pump built up it's initial pressure. Might need a fluid change in your power steering system if not done in quite a while. Old fluid is harder to pump. Especially at the - temps.

Hey, never thought of that.
Will have to find out how to change the power steering oil.

Easiest thing to do is suck out what's in the reservoir with a turkey baster and then fill it up with fresh ATF. Then start the engine, shut it off and repeat. If you do this several times, you'll replenish the system with quite a bit of new fluid with the least amount of aggravation.
