Default 1996 Rear door manual unlock rod missing econoline

Hi, wondering if someone can point me to the rod thats missing on a 1996 econoline rear door, the power locks work, but i cant use the key on the back door because its not connected, can someone let me know what i would need to connect it again?

All you need to do is remove the 12 phillips head screws from the R/S door interior panel , look inside and you will most likely see the rod dangling there. The reason they become disconnected most of the time is because the plastic retainer clip breaks that holds the rod in the arm on the lock tumbler assy. I know you can get the retainer from a ford dealer, but not sure if auto supply stores carry them.
