1998 E350 5.4L box truck
Hello, I recently purchased a 98 Ford E35 econoline 5.4L box truck to do moving with in my company. It has quite a few issues I'd like to get addressed, but first and foremost I need new rear brakes, probably calipers, pads and rotors. So I'd like to pre-order the parts for it. Could someone help me with part numbers?
Is this video accurate, is this what the mechanic would have to go through to replace all brake components on the back wheels?
Also when shopping for parts, I like to use Rockauto, so it is accurate to shop for 98 Ford E350 5.4L or 98 Ford Econoline super duty 5.4L ?
Second urgent repair would be the side mirrors, they are flimsy and cracked, they are the original ones that have metal 3 point attachment to the middle of the door and everything is rusted out and falling apart so I'd like to replace those, but I'm not sure which ones to order, this is what it currently has

And this is what I am hoping to replace them with, but not sure which would fit, or they both will?
But the attaching points don't seem to be the same, so I am confused which one would fit or they both would?
I'd really appreciate the help with this as I'd like to order the parts as soon as possible, thank you!

If the vehicle was previously an ambulance, it could have special equipment. Having worked on ambulances, the 4 they had went through brakes frequently due to hi speed and quick stops. They were always loaded heavy , carrying lots of equip.like a large oxygen cylinders.
Especially if time is a factor , I would suggest you go through a dealership that will have the necessary info based on your VIN.
Depending on which set up the vehicle has, you may not need to get involved with pulling axles and bearings and seals.
They did have some special electrical set-up to keep batteries full charged with break way connections to allow quick drive out of the building. Some had dual alternators due to heavy electrical loads, Of course there was air conditioning for the entire ambulance. a whole different animal.

Rotors should be checked for thickness and flat surfaces. If that is acceptable, then maybe only calipers and pads might need to be replaced, again depending on condition.
Parking brake shoes inside the rotor may need some attention, hard to say without actually looking at what we have condition wise.
If possible, take one wheel apart and see what you need and go from there. No sense buying a lot of parts you may not need .If you choose to replace everything, needed or not, you are looking a some big money, don't know if you want to go there.

You may be having issues because Ford says that 1999 was the first year for rear disc brakes on the 350s. It doesn't mean they did not, just that most did not have them on the 1998.. I had a Ford van my in laws bought new with a 302 and Ford insisted they did not put a 302 in that year.
