Default 2002 ford e150 4.2L 4r70w trans.

my overdrive off light on the gear shifter is flashing and my check engine light came on. the code for tcc electrical malfunction came up and i am wondering... will it cause my van to die as soon as i put into drive??? please help???

Sounds like a problem with the range selector switch. Formally called neutral safety,park neutral switch etc. Should be located on the side of the trans. Check all plug contacts and connections first.

thanks for the info. i got the tcc solenoid today along with filter, gasket and fluid. i plan on inspecting the connections really well beforehand because i have gotten two codes now. the other one was for shift solenoid b malfunction. today its working perfect, no codes of flashing etc... makes me think its a short of some kind in the wiring? ideas welcome????

when i first checked codes p0755 was stored. the next time i had the incident it was p0743 that came up. after erasing code several days went by and now p0743 code came up again. still contemplating on changing tcc solenoid? jus playing it by ear? anyone with helpful info greatly appreciated!!!
