Default 2012 Ford E350 Engine Compatibility.

Hey everyone,

I have a 2012 Ford E250 that has a bad motor. Trying to see what other Ford models share a similar motor that I could swap to plug and play. I believe it is a 5.4l 2v motor in the E Series vans. I could be wrong tho. Any information will be helpful.

Thank you

Because models changed from year to year and some mid year changes ,you might make out much better if you went to a salvage yard and obtained an engine from the same model and year. .
Salvage yards communicate with other locations to answer if they might have exactly what you might need. Worth checking.

Depending on how much you want to spend,
You can consider a salvage yard engine a short block,or a remanufactured engine.

When you say "Bad motor" what does that mean/include ? Rebuildable--not worth repairing, ?

Hey Hanky! Thank you for the reply. I would consider a motor from the same vintage if the used market wasn't so high at the moment. I see a lot of $2500 used 5.4L. That is way overpriced. I haven't taken apart this motor or removed it. But it is locked up solid. I assume it is seized. There is no coolant in the vehicle. It had to have gone somewhere.

Just looking for a long block from a salvage yard. If all of the 5.4l 2v Long Blocks are the same I can swap everything from the motor I have. I will likely go that route regardless and freshen up a junk yard motor. I know this one will be a money pit otherwise.
