5.4L engine swap ?
To anyone who can answer this, I greatly appreciate it...
I own a 1998 E-350 14 ft.box truck with a new 5.4L about 2 years old. Also, a 2 year old new transmission. Both still should have the mileage warranty still on them The body is shot and has a wiring issues.
I found a 2011 E-350 14ft box truck with a blown 5.4L engine. Can anyone tell me if these two different years engines and transmissions would swap without any issues?
I thank all that can respond I need to find out ASAP so I can purchase the 2011.

The days of swapping engines and trans with various years are long gone.
The two different years use 2 different internal communication systems. and they require different inputs for different computers. I do not believe this would be a good move.
You might inquire if the engines separately might be compatible, but I doubt it. One has variable valve timing and one does not. If you want the 2011 , get what belongs in it and do it right. As always , a second and even third o[pinion never hurts.
