Ford Econoline E Series The full size van is alive and well at FMC, with the heart of the F series trucks in both cargo vans and passenger vans.

Is a 6.0 power stroke swap into an econoline van worth it.

Default Is a 6.0 power stroke swap into an econoline van worth it.

I have a 2006 econoline van 5.4 with 200k I love it but I pull a camper with it. Camper doesn’t weigh much 4200. I have a 2006 6.0 power stroke with bad injectors just chillin in the yard. The truck with the 6.0 the body is shot. Front end shot rear end shot it was used and abused but the engine has always been strong. I’m not a big believer in 12v swaps. Plus this is just sitting collecting dust. I would love to swap the engine. I’m pretty mechanical inclined I just want to know if it would be worth it. I want to keep it around 5-6k. Is there any curve ***** that would screw me or would it be pretty straightforward. While the engine is out I would deck the head and “bulletproof” it.

I would not recommend that because,

Suspension is different for a gas engine as compared to the heavier diesel engine, the electronics can get a little involved , to say the least. Then comes the exhaust system.

If that isn't enough to discourage the move, maybe you can find someone who has done it and see what they offer.

If you had a complete donor for a swap,,, otherwise a monumental and expensive adventure.
