Hello im new here, looking for sum advice on my 86 E150 302 5.0
Battery light stays on, after replacing battery/starter/alternator & starter soleinoid.. can anyone offer any advice please? 4 days friend worked on my old van,and yesterday after all parts was changed out & tested, battery light went out.. this morning started her up again,and the battery light is back on..
My friend found what he believed was a short, fixed that, but battery light today is blinking in and out again.. which drains my battery and alternator..
If anyone has any advice that could help solve this issue im having id be so thankful

Was the light ON prior to the Alternator replacement? Meaning same issues after all the new parts were swapped out..

 

Hi there, yes the light was still on after all parts was swapped out.. he found a short in a pigtail that goes to the starter solenoid.. replaced that and light went off for a day then back on the next day! I jus ordered both alternator pigtails hopefully that solves the problem??
