Default 88 ecoline weird tranny issues

went to go see my buddies dad, and i dunno what happened with his ecoline crank it up let it warm up try to put it in gear and it doesn't wanna even move. says reverse just grinds can barely move the shifter

the clutch goes in and comes out with no issues seems to have pressure. but when you ease off it barely creeps

Do you know if you have the correct amount of free ply at the clutch pedal? It should be about 1 inch. Check the linkage under the vehicle for something being out of place.

i didn't check but will. when i tried to go into gear i had the clutch down to the floor. tried to go first and it wouldn't move. then i killed it and pushed in the clutch it worked fine
