hi all,

Im new to the site, i stumbled across while trying to fix my work van ( a 1996 E250)

i'm trying to get some help on the problem i'm having with the A/C heating controls, basically the blower motor is not working on any function, i checked the fuses, all good. I pulled the blower motor itself and it works fine, all wires LOOK ok, i pulled the operation panel in the dash & everthing seems to be ok

and i did notice when i put the switch on A/C or A/C max i hear the compressor activate, im not much an A/C mechanic so any help would be great on what to try next for fixing this

is this common for these models of a certain part failure?

Have you checked the resistor bank (small yellowish thing) next to the blower motor.

 

Yes,the resistor and other wiring migh be the problem.Take a look with circuit breaker as well.
