Are you sure the vehicle doesn't have an E4OD trans in it?
What kind of noise are you getting?
Does it happen in all gears or only certain ones?
Do you get it in forward and reverse?
What speed does it get loudest?
Does the noise happen when puling a hill or coasting?
Could you tell us why you feel it is a planetary type noise?
Could it be coming from the differential and not the trans?
Do you hear it in neutral /park?
Does the vehicle have to be moving to hear it?
