Door handle cable repair help
Thanks once again for all your assistance. The round one actually worked.
as I previously had mentioned, the exterior door handle itself was also broken and needed replaced. The replacement unit was the one from Autozone and thus a bit cheaply made and offered just a little bit too much slack in the system. I was able to bend the arm a little bit to give the system just a little more tension, but woulda been super cool to have been able to tighten a couple nuts on the cable itself.
when my solution fails (it’s hanging on by a thread) I will take your advice and buy the cables you had mentioned. I’ll keep the cable ends for emergencies. And brother, with how many times I had to take that cable end back out I get it just right, I’ve gotten pretty good at it by now haha.
