I got another catalytic converter for my 2003 E-250 with 5.4 liter engine. I don't remember how the 02 senser was oriented. The flange on the converter has three holes so depending on how it is turned the sensor port can be at 12 o'clock, 8 o'clock or 4 o'clock. Can anyone tell me how it should be oriented?

 

Most likely any position where it can't be damaged and loose carbon particles can't with the help of gravity settle in it.
