2005 e-250 4.6 v8. i was pulling into my driveway today and my van shut off and the dash said check guages. the engine light was on also. So i put in park and i started right up and everthing looked good all guages were normal and it ran fine. could this be altenator?

 

Something you can check,
Look in your owner's manual in the fuse section and look for a fuse that may say instrument panel/gauges/indicators. If you can;t find anything there , have the computer checked for any code(s). That could help point you in the right direction to do further checking.
