Question EEC-IV codes(OBD 1 CODE)

My check engine light comes on after a couple of seconds with the engine running,I checked the system with a obd-1 code reader(EEC-IV) reader and the following code comes up. 122.The book says -Throttle position sensor below minimum voltage. What does that mean and how can I fix this problem?
Thanks for any help

If the contact arm in the sensor loses contact due to wear enough times it will set a code and cause the check engine light to come on. After you check that there are no poor connections in that circuit replacing the throttle position sensor usually corrects the problem. You might get away with just replacing the sensor, but the better way is to check the wiring and connections first.
