Default Fancy rear view mirror problems

My 1997 Ford E-150 Waldoc Conversion Van has a rear view mirror that includes temp and direction of travel that works intermittently. Are these mirrors a stock Ford mirror or a after market added during the conversion? Are these mirrors reasonably fixable or are you better off trying to buy a replacement? There does not seem to be any identification as to manufacturer, however I have not tried to remove the mirror for a closer look.
Thanks for any help you good folks might be able to provide.
Doug

Guess it could have been either way on the install.. Generally the mirrors are Gentex units..
