First thread. Even the Ford parts guy could not tell me what this is.
I just bought this 1988 E350 motorhome and am bringing it back to life. Under the front end below the radiator and back about two feet to the frame member is a large piece of tar paper substance that looks like it is to keep the fan from sucking up water into the engine. I would like to replace this piece. Any ideas as to a part number or place to buy it? What does it really do?
Also, I am looking for a larger intake/air cleaner system to replace the current 6x12 inch, aprx, air cleaner. I think that that is too small for a 460 ci motor.
