which fuse is for the fuel pumps for a '89 E150 302
I am trying to find which fuse powers the high pressure fuel pump on my '89 302 E-150. I have pulled 3 and they were not the one I need, the fuel is still pumped out! I looked on google for the answer, I continually found it suggested to be fuse #18, which is a blue 15 amp. but for my van, I discovered that is not the fuse for the fuel pumps. Does any one know for sure which fuse it actually is, and where on the fuse panel it is located?
If you are looking at the fuse panel, there are 2 fuses right on top with the flasher to the right side. , it should be the one on the left (driver) side.
Keep in mind there is an inertia switch located on the passenger side top of kick panel. You may not see it , but if you feel up there you can feel the button that should be in the down position. If you give that area a good rap you will hear the switch trip and the ball roll. That will interrupt power to the fuel pump assy
All you do to reset it is, push the button back down.
