Hello I am in need of some advice on my vehicles PCM I took advice and how to videos to check all other avenues on why my vehicle won't start. I pulled my PCM today and opened it up to find burnt out component more like melted and sticky. So I am trying to replace PCM but want to make sure I get the right one, and some how make sure this is the correct one in the first place. Can anyone advise as I tried looking part # online and I keep getting bounced around.

When I had a problem like this I checked with a Ford dealer parts dept. The ECM s were pretty much the same for those years, but you still needed the VIN for the parts dept to provide the correct #s.
