Default Hello everyone! (New guy)

New guy, here. Glad to be a member!
I just bought a van, Sunday. I haven't owned a van in quite a few years. It was pretty cheap! I'm just hoping it wasn't cheap because it's going to become expensive! It's a 1999 E150 Conversion Van. It has a Triton V8. Guy thinks it's a 4.6, but he's not sure. Well, he's pretty sure, but I'm not so sure. He thought it was a 4.2 at first!
I won't actually get it home until this Sunday. I'm a little concerned with what I've heard about the spark plugs in these engines. My mechanic said if it's a 5.4, he won't even replace them. Too many problems, he said. I guess I'll find out when I bring it in. He said he can check what motor it is by the VIN.
it's in there so tight, I can't even SEE the spark plugs! 😲
it ran and drove fine. I just thought it seemed a little rough at very low RPM.

Not unusual for Ford vans to go 300,000 miles. Just maintain it.
