Default New guy in Daytona

Just bought a 1992 E150 conversion van from a pawn shop in Tampa for $1100. It started and run; had to buy a new battery and had the oil changed/lube job before driving the over 100 mile home. Made it home with no problems. Now time for a deep cleaning and some custom work before going to PA to visit my mom. Waiting for the snow to clear. ;>)

I was pushing for Easter, but I told mom if that white stuff is around, I might have to wait a while.

Welcome to the site..

Congratulations on the new camper We had some cold weather, but seems that our winter and snow bypassed us. Spring like conditions of late. Good luck on the road trip..

I need help with my doors on my 1992 E150 van. Two or the side/back doors won't open because the cables are off of the door handle. Is there any drawings/photos that show how to fix this. I had to tear the door panel off to be able to open the door.

Thanks for you help.

I maintained a whole fleet of these at one time and don't remember any cables in the doors. What they did have was rods that were connected to the handles and lock assemblies. The problem that was common with them was the plastic retainer clips would break and the rod would fall off the mechanism thereby rendering them inoperable. Is this what you have in your doors? If so , the plastic retainer clips are usually available at an auto supply store and if not , let me know, they were yellow in color.
By the way , Pa is expecting more of the white stuff and by the time it goes away they might see you in July !
