Default Identification of front differential

I have just purchased a 1990 E150 4x4 with a 302. Having trouble find correct steering linkage parts. I've tried crossing it with F250 of similar years but the tie rod tapered diameter is slightly smaller in the F250 parts. My local parts guy is stumped as am I. I was able to fabricate shims so the tie rods would tighten instead of bottoming out which is working but I need to know what the correct parts are. Can anyone point me in a direction to find out?

Was your local Ford Dealership Parts Dept. able to answer your concerns?
