I have an 1999 E 150 conversion van with check engine light on. Anyone know how to turn engine key to find out what the code might be. Need help please. Let me know.

I see this is pretty old, but thought I would give you a hint. My '99 E150 check engine light came on the other day also. I took it to theAdvance Autoparts store and borrowed the OBD II diagnostic code reader. My code read "EGR flow excesive" so I replaced the EGR sensor and all is well. Check with your local auto parts chain and see if they have a loaner code reader. They rule!!!
