No power. Transmission?
I have a Ford econoline e250 2013. I was driving the van today and suddenly my car shook. Then I lost power and if I hit the gas pedal, my rpm gauge revs to the red line even when I let go the gas pedal. As I continue to drive it, the car would shook again and power is restored. Then it would lose power again. It happens over and over. Is there any possible causes?

No check engine. I think it might be the transmission torque converter. My van makes a whining noise and revs up to the red bar even when I let go of the gas. However, there is no power. Should I take it in to ford to have them take a look at it? Do you think I’ll be pricey?

Welcome to the site..
For clarity, your saying that when the van won’t move it ‘red lines’ with a throttle application, then, when you remove your foot the throttle remains at red line?
Generally with no movement and a whine may indicate trans front pump cavitation from low fill level, or a pump issue, but shouldn’t have a continuous WOT. as part of the condition. Any indication of a fluid leak?

When I give it gas, it works fine but as the rpm gets higher, the van shakes for a second. It loses power and when I give it gas, it only revs. When I let go of the gas, it continues to rev for a while and drops down back to normal. Then I continued to tap the gas pedal until my van shakes. Then my van would have power.
