I have a 1999 E-250 with the 5.4 engine and need to replace the hose from the pump to the steering box. I got the top fitting loose at the steering box. I cannot get my crows foot on the pump fitting. Does anyone know can you get that pump fitting out without removing the pump pulley? I was thinking of cutting the line and getting a socket on the fitting, but the clearance between pump and fitting looks really tight. I would like to know if fitting will clear pulley before I cut the line. Thank you for your help.
