Hi Rusty,

It could be something simple, but doesn't have to be !
Ya know , once this problem is found and corrected, you won't have anything to do !

I don't know if you are using new parts or used parts however I have been having issues with my passenger window motor for over a year now. Granted I was using Pick A Part as my parts supplier but even so the window would work for a month or so and then go dead and work intermittently. If I hit a bump or banged on the door panel it would work sometimes and not others.
As with you the motor worked fine when out of the door and hooked to the battery but would flinch or not work when hooked to the window regulator assembly and other times it would. I finally disassembled the motor and found that the brushed were warn completely down and the armature was black from carbon build up. I went back to the wrecking yard and found a much newer vehicle with matching window motors and bought them. So far I have not had any issues with my windows knock on wood. Hope this can help you out?

I am using new motors. Some days they will work, some they don't.

Well it continues. I replaced the plug at the bottom of the driver's door, where the motor plugs in, a couple weeks ago and the window works again. Who knows for how long.
