Default Safety Rib Spacing for raised roof

Have been led to believe that there are safety ribs required for medical transport vans WITH RAISED ROOFS. Any idea how far apart they are (like spacing between studs in a house)?
Was going to install a steel skeleton to support camp conversion components, but if there is already one under the ceiling and sidewalls, I should be able to connect to them with self-tapping screws.

Thanks -- Santa
